Are your plans customizable?

Building YOUR dream home means ensuring that our floor plans match your needs, wants, and unique vision. It’s common for our homeowners to add personal touches or modify the layout to create their own version of our floor plans. When you meet with your personal Dream Home Consultant, we will work together to customize our plans on paper to bring your dream home to life!

I have my own plan; can Red Door build it?

If you’ve already found a plan that reflects your vision for your dream home, we’d love to see it! Most often, beginning with one of our designs and customizing it to reflect your vision will be the most cost-effective build option as our homes are designed with value in mind.

What’s included in the price of your home?

Have you seen our  included features  yet? We are proud to offer a turn-key home with everything included! Your home comes complete with Whirlpool appliances, a 14-SEER Trane HVAC system, Woodmont cabinets, and Shaw flooring – to name a few. In addition to that, we provide extensive options for you to customize your home to fit your budget and lifestyle needs.

What foundation options do you offer?

Our homes come with an included monolithic slab foundation. We understand that sometimes your property may dictate a different foundation. Your builder will carefully evaluate your property to determine the best foundation type. There are benefits to each type of foundation. That’s why we give you the power to decide what’s right for your dream home and budget.

What’s my first step?

A great question we’re so glad you asked! Your first step is to visit a Red Door Homes Location. One of our knowledgeable Dream Home Specialists would be glad to answer any initial questions you have and schedule a convenient time to visit with us & tour your nearest model homes. We also have a dedicated page on our website outlining the 6 Simple Steps to YOUR dream home.

Do I need an appointment?

We do recommend scheduling a time to visit convenient for you to ensure one of our Dream Home Consultants is available to answer any questions you may have & to provide you the dedicated time & attention you deserve. We are open 6 days a week.

How long will it take to build my dream home?

The average construction timeframe is around 240 days depending on your area and floor plan. During your initial visit with your personal Dream Home Consultant, we will be able to provide you with more information regarding the time frame in both your area and for your specific Dream Home design.

Can I view a floor plan other than the one in your showroom?

Your Dream Home Consultant would be glad to take you to look at the homes we are building in your area. It’s possible to arrange a tour of one of our homes under construction. We also offer Muddy Boots Tours that showcase different floor plan layouts and will allow you to view what’s behind the walls of a Red Door Home.

Land & Site Preparation

Do you have a land/home package?

Most of our homeowners come to us with land. If you don’t have land, we can connect you to the right resources to find your perfect homesite. We’ll also provide a list of lenders that we are an Approved Builder with who can assist you with financing your land and home together into one convenient monthly payment.

Will Red Door Homes prepare my land for me?

We manage the entire preparation stage for you – from assessing your homesite to pouring your foundation. If you need a perc test or survey done, we’ve got the expertise to guide you through. We provide our preparation services at cost, with no additional upcharge – that means you get a home completed on time and managed by your personal Red Door Homes builder.

How do I find land & what should I look for?

We understand this part feels overwhelming. That’s why we’ve designed our  Dream Home Workshop to be the first step in understanding what to look for when beginning your Dream Home search. During this time we’ll go over where and how to start looking, what we recommend for a great build site, and if needed, connect you with one of our realtor partners to help complete the transaction.

Where do you build?

Currently, we build within a 70-mile radius of the greater  Gainesville area. If you are unsure of whether your land or desired location falls within our service area, give one of our dedicated Dream Homes Specialists a call at 352.559.3050 and they will be happy to check it out for you!
