This is your new home—this should be fun! Our 6 simple steps to your dream home make home building simple and painless, so you can relax and enjoy the wonderful journey.
1. Pick a Plan & Personalize It
Visit our showroom for a one-on-one consultation and browse our sixteen-plus floor plans. Once you’ve found the perfect home, choose between its available elevations and decide on any features you would like to add or enhance. We will help you customize your home to your style, needs, and desires.
2. Find Land
No land? No problem! We’ll connect you with a real estate professional to help you find a property in your desired area. If you do have land, we offer a FREE Land Evaluation to confirm that the home plan you have chosen will work on your home-site, and to gather information to assist in creating your cost estimate.
3. Get a Cost Estimate & Secure Financing
When your land and home plan is selected, ask us for a free cost estimate for the home of your dreams. Once you are aware of all of the cost involved in building a new home, you can decide to make enhancements to your home choice or make adjustments to stay within your budget.

4. Pre-Construction Meeting
Once financing is secured your construction loan will close, putting the pre-construction phase of your home into motion. Plans become more finalized, permits begin to be processed, and purchase orders are sent.
A representative from our Production Department will meet with you to present your construction plans, designed around your specific requests. The plans will be explained to you in detail so that you fully understand them. All of your questions will be answered, and you will get answers to questions that you didn’t even think to ask. There are no stupid questions—we believe you should be well informed through the entire process.
5. Begin Construction
Watch your new home be built by Red Door Homes. This is approximately a 240-day process from the time the permit is received, depending on the home that you selected and the extent of its finishes.
6. New Home Walkthrough
Once your home is complete and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued by the inspection office, a new home demonstration is scheduled four to five business days prior to your move-in. At this demonstration, we take the opportunity to introduce you to the features of your home, show you how they operate, and confirm for the final time that we have built the home of your dreams.
